Book reviews offer two perks, free promotion for your great work and feedback on literature that might need some CPR. Finding the right reviewer online is akin to searching through a Where’s Waldo book! As both an author and book reviewer I’ve spent a lot of time searching for appropriate book reviewers and found very few. Instead of searching through hundreds of blogs and spending days of precious time, you could just pay $6.99 and get a book that lists reviewers.
May 2015 marks the publication of the 6th edition of the Book Reviewer Yellow Pages. “It defines a standard of ettiquette…It codifies the essential facts about a book blogger, so you don’t have to.” – Author David Wogahan, President of Sellbox.com. Other than listing hundreds of reviewers, the book shows examples of proper etiquette when approching an author. This is IMPORTANT. I receive several review requests each month and a small percentage are really awful presentations of the authors including not enough information and poor grammar/errors. I don’t even respond to those.
I listed this blog in the book so if you get it look on page 153.
