FGM, Female Genital Mutilation, is a disgusting black mark for humanity. The practice which cuts young girls vaginal areas in the name of “womanhood” is entrenched in cultures as a “proper” way for girls to become women. This horrendous practice from the dark ages often kills girls and destroys how women view their bodies. It causes complications in childbirth and longterm health issues. It’s cruel and sick. Thankfully there are women who are working non-stop to end this cruel practice.
