The Masses Speak: Giving African American Youth a Voice Through Media and Resources

Are you sick of hate, discrimination, pain and suffering? Tired of negative and stereotypical messages. Have no fear, the masses are speaking!

The Black Youth Project is an amazing organization that empowers youth with resources, a chance to be heard, and a network of support. Their work is based on three concepts: knowledge, voice, and action. Check out the video below to see more about what the BYP is all about.

More information about the Black Youth Project is at 100 Young Black Activist blog and the Black Youth Project Research and Black Youth Action. You can also follow them on Facebook. Remember that skin color is not a dividing line, we are all in this world together. If one part of the population is oppressed than we all suffer the effects of injustice.

Check out our partner blog, Change is Up To You, to learn about projects you can start in your area.

  1. Thank you for reblogging. We need a national discussion about the positive effects from organizations like the BYP. I’m glad this has been shared!
